Role of CMSD in Procurement & Logistics Management

FUntil 1988 CMSD was responsible for procurement & management of Logistics centrally for the whole country.

FIn 1988 procurement of Logistics has been decentralized.

FSince then CMSD was responsible centrally for Off-shore procurement of Goods which are not available locally and for some National procurements.

FDuring 1st half of 90s CMSD conducted procurement for different projects under World Bank aided 4^th Population & Health Project.

FAt present, CMSD is procuring goods for (i) Contingency Packages of HPPP, (ii) Khulna Medical College Hospital under Spanish Grant, (iii) Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College & 500 bedded Hospital and (iv) for different hospitals under revenue budget. CMSD is also processing procurement for HNPSP.

FBesides CMSD conducts procurement under :

SFD Fund,

OPEC Fund,

French Grant,

German Grant,

Chech Barter,

ADB Financing

IDB Fund & Many Other sources of funds.
